Public Works

The objective of the Pend Oreille County Public Works Department is to preserve a friendly and rural lifestyle. We work to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the people, land, and waterways that grace our fine county. We do our best to promote commerce by providing safe roads and other public services, while respecting the rights of individual landowners.

Public Works includes the Road, Buildings & Grounds, Parks & Recreation, Solid Waste, and ER&R Departments. We can answer your questions regarding road maintenance, road conditions, and where to recycle.
