Noxious Weed Board Calibration Workshop

Calibration Workshop April 12th at 10am, Register Today!

The Pend Oreille County Noxious Weed Board’s 2nd annual Calibration Workshop will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday April 12, 2024.

With a focus on herbicide application, this workshop will cover tank mix procedures, importance of water testing, proper application, spray nozzles, spray pattern, cleaning equipment, and more, with a live demo of backpack sprayer calibration. The workshop generally lasts one hour with time for questions after the event.

We encourage anyone who will be spraying their own property this year to attend! The Calibration Workshop is an outdoor, hands-on event dependent upon good weather. If needed, please bring your own chair. The Workshop is held at the County garage bays behind the building at the corner of N Calispel Ave/S Calispel Ave and 1st Street. Did you know the Pend Oreille County Weed Board's Neighborhood Cost Share Program offers 50% cost-share up to $500 for weed management groups of 2 or more landowners? Individual and Aquatic landowners may also be eligible for cost share options. Eligible costs include applying weed prevention principles such as fertilizing, planting competitive vegetation, applying herbicides, hiring contractors and more!
