3 Transfer Stations are located in Pend Oreille County. They are closed on New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day.
1. South County Transfer Station
Just West of Gray Road on Deer Valley Road Open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday

From Newport, take Highway 2 West toward Spokane to Gray Rd. (about mile marker 330) Turn right or North onto Gray Rd. Follow it to Deer Valley Rd. Turn left or West onto Deer Valley Rd. proceed about 1,000 feet to the first driveway on the left; the chain link gate entrance to the South County Transfer Station. OR
From Spokane or the Diamond Lake area, continue East on Highway 2 towards Newport. Turn left or North onto Coyote Trail (at about mile marker 328). Go North on Coyote Trial for about 1.5 miles (cross Southshore Diamond Lake Rd) to Deer Valley Rd. Turn right or East onto Deer Valley Rd for about 1 mile. Turn right at the chain link gate entrance to the South County Transfer Station.
2. Central County Drop Box Station

Take Highway 20 North out of Newport to Jared Rd (before Highway 211 intersects with Highway 20). Turn left or West onto Jared Rd. Follow Jared Rd. and cross Highway 211. Continue on Jared Rd past the County Road Shop and turn right at the chain link gate entrance to the Central County Drop Box Station. OR
From Highway 2 take Highway 211 North to Jared Rd (about mile marker 13). Turn left or West onto Jared Rd. and go past the County Road Shop, turn right at the chain link gate entrance to the Usk Drop Box Station.
3. North County Drop Box Station

Take Highway 31 to Sullivan Lake Rd. (approx 3 miles North of Tiger). Cross the orange Ione Bridge. At the end of the bridge, veer left up Sullivan Lake Rd. and continue up the hill about 1.5 miles. Look for the green Solid Waste Station sign on the right. Turn right at the entrance gate and follow the road around to the North County Drop Box Station.
