Mental Health

 

      

Counseling Services provides mental health services to individuals who are residents of Pend Oreille County and the North Central Washington Regional Support catchment area. This would include residents of Adams, Ferry, Grant, Lincoln, Okanogan, and Stevens counties. Residents in other counties or states will need to access services in the Regional Support Network they reside.  We accept all referral sources and provide services for young children to geriatric age.  Counseling Services provides the following services:

Intake evaluations with multi-axial diagnostic assessment

Psychoeducation

Medication Management

Case Management

Crisis Services

Individual counseling and psychotherapy

Group counseling (Current Groups available for enrolled clients):

  • Rest & Relaxation - a short-term group focused on teaching anxiety reduction coping strategies, such as breathwork, visualization and progressive muscle relaxation techniques

 

  • Illness Management Recovery (IMR) - an evidenced based treatment model focused on helping consumers and their identified support persons learn more about their mental illness, as well as develop/enhance illness management skills. 

 

  • ADULT KEYS and Youth KEYS - a comprehesive cognitive and behavioral modification program that addresses the relationship between thinking, feeling, behaving and choices.   Anger management is a component of  the KEYS curriculum.

 

  • Self Esteem - focus on changing thinking patterns that negatively affect self -esteem 

 

  • Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) -   an emerging evidenced based practice with a strong consumer directed care focus.  This short-term group meets weekly to assist each participants development of  an individualized managment plan built on internal and external resources.  The plan covers various area, such as early warning signs, coping skills, crisis plan, support persons and more.   

 

  • Staying Connected with Your Teen - a series of workshops built on research on parent education and      adult learning.  The workshops seek to increase parents' skills and enhance behavior related to improving communication and building stronger family bonds.   Sessions are designed to maximize skill development     and increase the likelihood that parents will use their new skills and behaviors at home with their teens.  

 

 

CRISIS SERVICES

Counseling Services provides crisis intervention services to ensure personal and public safety.  Services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.   No appointment is necessary for walk in crisis services.  For crisis services during office hours, please call (509) 447-5651  o r   1(800)404-5151.  For emergency services after hours, call 1(866)847-8540 and a crisis counselor will be available to discuss your needs.     For immediate assistance with life threatenting and/or medically dangerous situations - call 911

Please do not e-mail documents due to confidentiality.  The documents must be printed with original signatures.

 

FEES

Payment for services may be covered in one of the following ways:  

  • If you are on Medicaid and have a Medical Identification Card (coupon), your services will be covered by Medicaid, if you meet Washington State Access to Care.    For some, there will be a "spend down" requirement on your part before services are covered in full.
  • If you have private insurance that covers behavioral healthcare services, we will bill your insurance.  You most likely will need to get your primary care physician to make a referral.  We are an authorized provider for numerous insurance companies.
