The Evidence Custodian is responsible for the receiving and storing of all evidence and property, either found or seized by Deputies. In addition, the duties include packaging and shipping evidence to Crime Labs or any other place that is required.
When the evidence is no longer needed for Court or investigation purposes, the evidence is destroyed or returned to the appropriate individual or company. The Evidence Custodian will call or send a certified letter to the owner requesting they call 509-447-1906, and if not available leave a message and they will be called back to an appointment to return the evidence or property.
